Worst NFT Game EVER? | Kryxivia Gameplay and Review

After nearly $1.3M in fundraising and 16 months in development, #Kryxivia has finally released to the public in the form of an ‘open beta’. However, it’s not very good, and in fact, could be a good candidate for the “Worst #nftgame Ever”.

Kryxivia manages to use #crypto to make the game more complicated, slower, and prohibitively expensive to play. The game’s core gameplay loop involves grinding the same few boring “dungeons” over and over again, hoping that a rare item drops. Then, you will head directly to OpenSea to try and sell that item to some poor schmuck.

Kryxivia is probably one of the most honest attempts at creating a crypto game for the sake of creating a crypto game, and that’s what makes it a perfect case study for why crypto games just don’t make sense at a technical level. Everything that Kryxivia tries to do can be done better without the blockchain. The only thing a blockchain is actually able to do better, is to create a “decentralized” economy, which is completely nullified by the fact that the game is centralized anyway as the developers have complete control.

It’s sad that this is actually one of the more enjoyable crypto games.

Thanks for watching!
