Yuga Labs, the company behind the bored ape NFT, held a party in Hong Kong for NFT Bros. It wasn’t the $300 ticket price that blinded these party goers, rather the lights.
The stage where the DJs were playing used UV light. UV light in situations like this can be as bad as staring at the sun and cause you to go blind.
More than a dozen NFT bros landed in the emergency room after the show. Some people, like mrbayc reported feeling better after awhile, but it was still a scary situation.
Yuga Labs who founded Bored Ape NFTs, said in a statement they are in touch with the people impacted and working to find the cause.
