Letting a nail technician or nail salon know you are diabetic is important because they are at a higher risk of infection, may have circulatory or neuropathy issues, or may have sudden low blood sugar!
Keep in mind, a small wound of someone who isn’t diabetic is generally not a big, but on someone who is diabetic it is.
