Wicked Monkeys is an original digital artwork concept created and hand-drawn by me, Artistic Axel. Every character was first designed digitally from scratch, built with detailed textures, bold expressions, and a dark psychedelic aesthetic.
What started as a raw digital illustration evolved into an official NFT collection titled “Wicked Monkeys,” available on platforms such as OpenSea and Rarible.
After launching as a collectible NFT series, the characters were reimagined into hyper-realistic 3D cinematic versions while preserving the original artwork’s exact identity and visual integrity. The transition from 2D digital illustration to ultra-detailed 3D realism represents the evolution of independent Web3 art — concept to collectible to immersive experience.
