Some passengers using Aayalolo buses are calling on government to sustain the new contra-flow system, saying the initiative has eased their commute from Amasaman to Accra’s Central Business District.
The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, the Greater Accra Passenger Transport Executive (GAPTE) and other stakeholders introduced the contra-flow arrangement on selected major corridors into the Accra CBD.
Passengers who spoke to Channel One News commended the initiative, saying it has improved their travel experience and reduced the amount of time spent commuting between Amasaman and the CBD.
They are urging authorities to consider making the arrangement a permanent feature of the Aayalolo Bus Rapid Transit service.
