Game Disease NFT story: in October 2021, about 1,900 wallets spent over $4 million in one week minting Sickos, a satire of NFT greed.
Game Disease is a satirical universe by three Argentine 3D artists, Frenetik Void, Milton Sanz and Oxeegeno. Within weeks Sickos traded below the 0.2 ETH mint, the last of the 9,999 took three years to mint out, and the cheapest one today is about $5.
Now Frenetik says there’s “a real desire to bring the project back to life”, and the founders are meeting every week again. In his words: “i don’t want to promise anything”.

• Launch week, 28 Oct – 4 Nov 2021: 5,161 paid mints from 1,904 wallets at 0.2 ETH (about $4.4M at the time). That’s money spent by buyers, not money raised by the team (on-chain mint transactions, contract 0x6023da5c4ed130e73cd816ec931b562db2c346bb)
• Launch day, 28 Oct 2021: 3,970 minted (on-chain)
