The cheapest Bored Ape that day cost around $270,000, so he paid nearly five times that, for one of the most common-looking apes in the whole collection. About a week later he bought a second one for around $470,000. Then the NFT market crashed. He paid more for that monkey than most people pay for a house, and today it’s worth about $13,000.
