What Are NFT Tickets? NFT Ticketing Explained: How ILSSI Used Polygon Blockchain for Event Tickets

What are NFT tickets, and how does NFT ticketing actually work?
At the 2026 International Lean Six Sigma Conference in Bratislava, ILSSI introduced a real-world application of blockchain-based event ticketing. For the first time, conference attendees received NFT tickets registered on the Polygon blockchain, with each attendee receiving their NFT in a Privy Wallet.

In this presentation, John Dennis explains NFT ticketing and how blockchain technology can be used to create digital event tickets that provide more than simple access to an event.
NFT tickets are unique digital assets stored on the blockchain. Like conventional tickets, they can provide access to an event, but they can also offer additional benefits such as verified ownership, digital proof of attendance, collectibility and a permanent record associated with the ticket.

In the ILSSI Conference use case, the NFT ticket provided attendees with both a digital ticket and proof of attendance.
In this video, you will learn:
• What NFT tickets are
• What NFT ticketing means
• How blockchain ticketing works
• How Polygon was used for NFT tickets
• How attendees received their NFT tickets through a Privy Wallet
• How NFT tickets can provide proof of attendance
• Why NFTs could change the future of event ticketing
• How blockchain can connect event participation with digital ownership

NFT ticketing is one example of how blockchain technology can move beyond cryptocurrency and into practical applications such as conferences, events, education and digital credentials.
