CryptoPunks NFT sale: CryptoPunk 8348, the only punk with 7 traits, just sold for exactly $3 million in USDC on-chain.
Its traits: top hat, cigarette, earring, big beard, classic shades, mole and buck teeth. A regular CryptoPunk (the floor) sells for about $90K, so this one went for over 30 times that.
Collector Seedphrase bought it in May 2020 for 85 ETH (about $18K). Most of the $3M went straight to paying off an NFT loan against the punk.
The numbers:
